Any Drawback of Internet Phones
Internet phone or VoIP does save your phone bills. Vonage VoIP plan charges only $25 a month for unlimited local and long distance calls. The math is pretty simple when you make a lot of international calls. Vonage boosts over one million subscribers now. It?s not a huge number comparing to the customer base of ATT or Quest. It?s rather impressive if you know that Vonage phone service has been only a few years old. What reall holds back the consumers from using VoIP for their phone use ?
If there?s any drawback to the Internet phone, the problem is actually at the high-speed ISPs (Internet Service Providers). I?ve been with Comcast for a few years and happy about the service in general. But once in a while (one or two months), the Internet connection will stop working for half an hour or more. The usually happens in the middle night. If you have an emergence and need a phone, and the Internet phone is the only communication option you have, you?re in trouble if the high-speed connection isn?t working. Of course, everyone has one or two mobile phones nowadays.
